Attorney General Pam Bondi is wasting no time in implementing President Donald Trump’s vision for a Justice Department free from Deep State interference. With key directives already in motion, Bondi has prioritized cutting off federal funding to sanctuary cities and investigating politically driven cases within the DOJ.
The newly formed Weaponization Working Group is already reviewing how federal law enforcement has been used for political purposes. The group’s primary focus includes cases related to January 6, assessing whether federal agencies engaged in selective prosecution to target Trump supporters.
At the same time, Bondi has halted all DOJ funding to sanctuary cities, preventing taxpayer dollars from going to jurisdictions that refuse to enforce immigration laws. The order ensures that federal grants and contracts are no longer available to cities shielding illegal immigrants from deportation.
Additionally, Bondi has ordered a review of DOJ employees who played a role in politically motivated investigations. The administration is actively identifying officials who engaged in partisan lawfare and obstructed Trump’s policies in previous years.
The changes at the DOJ signal a broader effort to remove those who have weaponized government agencies for political gain. Trump has repeatedly stated his administration will not allow unelected bureaucrats to shape national policy through resistance or selective enforcement.
