Border Patrol Agents Warn Of Mass Resignations If Kamala Harris Wins Presidency

Border Patrol agents are sounding the alarm, warning of a potential mass exodus from the agency if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the upcoming presidential election. Agents claim that working under the Biden-Harris administration has been demoralizing, with one agent describing it as “four years in hell.” They fear that another term would continue what they see as a lack of support for border security efforts.

One anonymous agent, in an interview with the New York Post, said, “I’m not doing this … again,” signaling that many who can retire will leave if Harris wins. However, the agent added that a Trump victory might change that, as some agents would stay on if they believed their work would be supported.

Agents have voiced frustration over what they describe as a lack of enforcement under the current administration. They argue that while they are not explicitly told to stop doing their jobs, the policy of releasing criminals after they enter the country has made their work feel ineffective.

The National Border Patrol Union has endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency, warning that without a change in leadership, “every city, every community in this great country, is going to go to hell.” The union’s concerns align with polling that shows voters rank illegal immigration and border security as top issues in the upcoming election.

Adding to the frustration, Yuma Border Patrol Chief Chris Clem criticized the administration for demoralizing agents, noting that morale is at an all-time low. Clem pointed out that Harris’ recent campaign advertisements, which feature her support for border security, have only worsened the situation for agents who feel betrayed by the administration’s policies.

Since the Biden-Harris administration took office, illegal immigration has surged, with over 10 million people crossing the border. This includes 1.7 million “gotaways,” individuals who crossed undetected. Many agents believe that under the current administration, efforts to secure the border have been significantly undermined.
