Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, condemned President Joe Biden for his inaction regarding the Chinese spy balloon — calling it “very concerning” that the administration did not shoot down the balloon that is currently flying over the United States.
The Pentagon's reasoning for not shooting down a Chinese Spy Balloon above Montana…. you can't make this up..
Falling debris could injure those on the ground…
In Montana…. a massive state with a tiny population… FFS…

During a Friday appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Faulkner Focus,” McCarthy was asked by host Harris Faulkner about the situation.
“What is your greatest concern as we track something that is the size of three buses now that China says was taken by wind – wind that we can’t substantiate?” she asked.
Comer responded by calling out the Biden administration for continually harming the reputation of the United States, comparing their inaction on the surveillance balloon to the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.
“Well, I have concerns this is going to be another example of the Biden administration’s weakness on the national scale,” he said. “I mean, you look at what happened in Afghanistan that hurt the reputation of America’s military strength. That hurt the reputation of our commander-in-chief. And now we have China clearly playing games with the United States. This balloon never should have been allowed to cross over into the – past the Pacific Coast into the continental United States — never should have happened.”

Comer went on to question the true purpose of the surveillance balloon, pointing out that the Biden administration doesn’t know exactly what’s inside it and whether it could pose a threat to the safety of Americans.
“My concern is that the federal government obviously doesn’t know what’s in that balloon,” the Oversight chairman said. “Is that bioweapons, weapons in that balloon? Did that balloon take off from Wuhan? We don’t know anything about that balloon. But the fact that this balloon was slowly making its way to the United States for several days and this administration never alerted anyone about the possibility of this balloon coming up, I think it is very concerning. It’s very concerning. They didn’t shoot it out of the air before it even reached the continental United States.”
