Dozens More Migrants Relocated From Texas To Just Outside Of VP Harris’ DC home

Despite the vicious backlash from liberals who claim that GOP governors are using undocumented migrants as political pawns, buses filled with individuals who illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border continue to be sent from border states to so-called sanctuary jurisdictions across the Northeast.

According to local reports, a bus packed with roughly 50 migrants arrived outside of the D.C. residence occupied by Vice President Kamala Harris.

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott launched a program designed to relocate migrants from his state to Democratic-led regions of the country and the GOP governors of Arizona and Florida soon followed his lead.

In addition to the nation’s capital, buses and planes filled with migrants have also been sent to New York City, Chicago, Illinois, and Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

Abbott responded to critics of the plan last month, explaining why he chose Harris’ D.C. home as one such destination.

“Our supposed Border Czar, Vice President Kamala Harris, has yet to even visit the border to see firsthand the impact of the open border policies she has helped implement, even going so far as to claim the border is ‘secure,’” he wrote. “Texas will continue sending migrants to sanctuary cities like Washington, D.C. until President Biden and Border Czar Harris step up and do their jobs to secure the border.”

Just days before the latest bus arrived, Abbott confirmed that he sent nearly as many migrants to the same general area near the Naval Observatory, which is the vice president’s official residence.

For her part, Harris has joined the leftist chorus in denouncing efforts by Abbott and other Republican leaders to bring attention to the crisis along America’s southern border.

“You know, doing it for the sake of a headline, what we’re seeing with these governors is irresponsible and it’s inhumane,” she said. “The height of irresponsibility, much less frankly a dereliction of duty, when you are an elected leader to play those kinds of games with human lives and human beings.”

She went on to accuse the Trump administration of destroying “a system that was designed to address immigration,” adding: “And so, we have been spending the last 18 months we’ve been in office, we have been spending an incredible amount of time, work, and resources to reconstruct that system.”
