Dr. Ben Carson appeared earlier this month on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.” He told host Maria Bartiromo that he is “despondent” about the Biden administration’s plans for a $400 million federal vaccine database.
In the Immunization Infrastructure Modernization Act (IIMA) discussion, Carson pointed out that government programs tend to “grow, infiltrate, and control” far beyond their design.
The IIMA has already passed the House and is now being discussed in the Senate. In the House, the bill had support from 80 Republican representatives. The act’s stated purpose is to expand the databases maintained by public health departments throughout the country to collect medical information from Americans about their vaccinations.
Carson said that America’s Constitution was put in place so that the people could control the growth of the federal government. He said that the new act could be used to subject Americans to the COVID vaccination and would also be “used for other things as well.”
The IIMA was written by Rep. Annie Kuster (D-NH), who said in a statement last month that the act would allow the government to remind people when they are due for a vaccine and “identify areas with low vaccination rates.” The act would also enhance federal funding of vaccine manufacturers.
Stand for Health Freedom, a public interest medical organization, said that the bill is designed to give the CDC greater access to American’s immunization records. Its statement added that the IIMA directly facilitates mandates and digital vaccine and health passports. The warning addresses the governmental imposition of passports for all travel inside the US.
Carson said it is “unfortunate” when the medicine is mixed with political ideologies. He added that Americans need to be “smart enough to recognize” the signs of medical tyranny and “nip them in the bud” while there is still time.
