The “Twitter Files” are a gift that keeps on giving, and CEO Elon Musk gave strong indications that — like Christmas — the best is yet to come. The billionaire entrepreneur teased revelations over the platform’s censorship of COVID-19 information with: “Oh, it is coming bigtime.”
Then in a follow-up tweet, Musk simply said: “My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci.” As teases go, Mr. Musk may have topped himself with this one.

There has already been evidence of the social media platform covering up explosive research by Stanford’s Dr. Jay Bhattacharya. The noted researcher was effectively shadow-banned for sharing his expertise on the platform.
And then there’s Dr. Fauci, who is stepping down after fifty years in public health as Republicans prepare to take control of the U.S. House. Many have promised full investigations into the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ research links to China.
In particular, GOP lawmakers want to probe connections between Fauci and a decade of gain-of-function research that may have culminated in the origin of the COVID pandemic in Wuhan, China.
The Twitter Files already made public contained eye-opening proof of the platform’s unjustified actions under the previous regime. They included the outright suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story in the weeks leading up to the 2020 presidential election.
Twitter also took highly questionable measures to justify banning former President Donald Trump after the Jan. 6 Capitol incident. Further, it is now obvious that the company’s predominantly leftist content moderators targeted conservatives for shadow-banning.
This is something Twitter strongly denied before Musk’s acquisition.
But the real meat of the Twitter Files may be in their exposition of the systematic stifling of COVID-19 debate. The platform apparently took the role of a propaganda arm for the Chinese government after the outbreak that then swept the globe.
For example, how health officials wanted the public to believe that the virus just happened to emerge in a Chinese city that coincidentally conducted research on the same virus.
If Musk is to be believed — and he has not failed to deliver on his promises so far — there are fascinating revelations coming regarding Twitter’s role in suppressing the truth about issues other powerful Big Tech giants are also working to keep from the public through censorship and threats of demonetization.
As for Dr. Fauci, his retirement appears to seems to be at a very good time, for his own sake.
