Ex-Biden Administration’s Jen Psaki To Host Own MSNBC Show

The Biden administration’s former press secretary Jen Psaki will be starting her own talk show on MSNBC. The network announced the development on Thursday with a reveal of the show’s title, “Inside with Jen Psaki.”

Popular for her spinnings during her 16-month gig as President Joe Biden’s top communicator, Psaki left the administration last year and joined the left-leaning outlet as a political analyst.

In a press release introducing the show, MSNBC said that the show will see Psaki “tackle the biggest issues of the week.”

“Each Sunday, she will break down and make sense of the most complex public policy discussions happening in the Nation’s Capital, from the debt ceiling to the political campaign trail to the war in Ukraine and more,” the network said.

The soon-to-come show will feature an original segment named “Weekend Routine.” This segment, the outlet said, will focus on public figures with the aim of seeing a day in their lives.

“Psaki will pull back the curtain on the everyday lives of notable lawmakers and influential thought leaders. She will shadow each newsmaker as they move through their usual activities discussing their work, careers, and personal lives, spotlighting a unique and often unseen side,” the press release explained.

Starting from March 19, “Inside with Jen Psaki” will air on Sundays on MSNBC. Then, on Mondays, the previous day’s episode will air on NBC’s streaming service Peacock.

The press release clarified that this new gig does not affect Psaki’s current role as a regular contributor and analyst across MSNBC’s coverages. Not only will she continue to feature in talk shows and cover major news events at the network, but she will also continue with NBC News’ broadcast TV regular programs like “Meet the Press” and “TODAY.”

She will also be involved with programs relating to the 2024 presidential election and is also set to be part of election coverage.

Psaki would not be the first person from the Biden administration to be hired by MSNBC. Last year, former senior adviser for Vice President Kamala Harris Symone Sanders was hired by the network to host her show. Sanders, who was also Harris’ chief spokeswoman, said at the time that the show, which marks a new venture for her, would see her be a spokesperson for herself.
