Frontier Airlines Pilot Arrested On Aircraft Before Departure

A Frontier Airlines pilot was arrested aboard an aircraft on Saturday just before its scheduled departure at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Seymour Walker, 45, was taken into custody by Houston police on charges related to assault involving family violence, CBS News reported.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. as passengers were boarding Flight 3195 to Dallas. Texas law enforcement officials boarded the aircraft after all passengers deplaned and arrested Walker without incident.

Frontier Airlines confirmed the arrest and the disruption it caused. “The activity occurred prior to the start of boarding for Flight 3195 scheduled from IAH to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW). A replacement crew member was not immediately available and therefore the flight was canceled,” the airline stated.

Passengers affected by the flight cancellation were offered a full refund, a credit for future travel, or a seat on the next available flight, according to Frontier Airlines.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also addressed the incident. “Airlines report incidents such as this to the FAA office that oversees them, and we investigate all pilot-related issues,” the FAA said in a statement.
