Governor Joins Chorus Calling For Answers On Drone Activity

Mysterious drones over Maryland have prompted former Gov. Larry Hogan to demand answers from federal authorities, echoing growing public concern over unexplained aerial activity.

Hogan shared his experience Friday, stating he saw “dozens of large drones” over his residence near Washington, D.C. He described observing the drones for 45 minutes and questioned why officials have been slow to respond.

Residents in nearby states like New Jersey and Connecticut have also reported drone sightings, beginning in mid-November. Despite public concern, White House officials downplayed the issue Thursday, with National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby suggesting residents may be mistaking planes for drones.

Hogan disagreed, accusing the administration of failing to address legitimate safety and security concerns. “The government has the ability to track these from their point of origin but has mounted a negligent response,” Hogan said, calling the lack of transparency unacceptable.

Drone sightings have sparked similar concerns in the past. Last year, drones swarmed Langley Air Force Base for weeks, displaying advanced capabilities that left officials searching for answers.

Hogan’s call for transparency highlights the bipartisan frustration over the administration’s handling of the situation. “The American people deserve answers and action now,” he stated, emphasizing the urgency of addressing the issue.

As drone sightings continue, the public remains in the dark about what—if anything—the government plans to do.
