Kinzinger Throws Tantrum About Jan. 6 Footage

Disgraced former congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) threw a tantrum on Twitter on Monday over Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) decision to release security footage from the January 6 Capitol protests to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Kinzinger — who famously lost his congressional seat due to redistricting by Democrats, despite the fact that he had betrayed his voters by siding with the left on numerous occasions — was previously a member of the now-defunct House January 6 Committee.

The partisan committee, which was made up of Democrats and two RINOs, appeared to be solely focused on attacking former President Donald Trump, his allies, and his supporters — choosing to only release clips from the protests that furthered their “insurrection” narrative.

Despite Kinzinger and his committee’s claims that they wanted the American people to know what happened on January 6, they refused to release all of the footage so that the public could get all of the facts about the incident.

Now that McCarthy has given roughly 41,000 hours of security footage to Carlson, the Democrats fear that they may lose control of the narrative — though they are disguising their fear behind claims that the footage being public poses risks to national security.
Kinzinger threw a tantrum over the news in a particularly unhinged tweet — claiming that McCarthy had changed since Trump joined the political arena.

“So Kevin McCarthy shared the surveillance footage, not with the rest of congress, investigators, or anyone like that. It was @TuckerCarlson. The “elisestefanik’ing” of McCarthy has been breathtaking, and not the man I thought I knew before Trump. Lies lies lies,” he wrote.

His bizarre remarks have sparked confusion among critics, with Red State asking: “But wait, wasn’t he in Congress? Didn’t the Democrats under then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have access to all this? Wasn’t the Jan. 6 Committee supposed to be an ‘investigation’? Didn’t they have access to this? They’ve had two years to release the material… Is he admitting they didn’t look at it? They were so busy with their politics that the truth just didn’t matter.”

Despite the RINOs and Democrats consistently claiming they were in favor of transparency, it appears that their principles do not apply to matters that may damage their narrative.
