McCarthy Has Great Reasons To Eject Democrats From Committees

To hear Democratic leaders and their mainstream media allies tell it, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has no reason to boot their colleagues from coveted committee assignments. Only that’s about as far from the truth as they may possibly be.

What is the truth is that Democrats planted these seeds with their persecution of Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ). Both were removed from their respective committees in gestures reeking with pettiness.

Then, of course, there’s former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s outright vetoing of Republican choices for the House Jan. 6 investigation.

Instead of a fair and balanced panel, the committee was personally gerrymandered by Pelosi with a foregone conclusion against former President Donald Trump etched in stone from the outset.

Which leads to the present situation and Democrats who suddenly find themselves with more free time on their hands. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) essentially wrote his own resignation letter when he became entangled with a known Chinese spy.

That alone should disqualify one from serving on the Intelligence Committee.

Then there’s Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). If her blatant antisemitism were not enough, then equating the U.S. with terror-sponsoring entities such as Hamas and the Taliban should exclude her from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

However, the worst offender may be Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who also happens to be the chairman of the influential House Intelligence Committee.

In a recent “Twitter Files” release, independent journalist Matt Taibbi spotlighted how Schiff’s office attempted to have the social media platform ban users who mocked both himself and President Joe Biden.

In one instance, Schiff’s staff demanded that a humorous Biden pic be taken down after it was retweeted by Trump. His office was also quick to throw around accusations of catering to “QAnon activities” without a shred of proof.

It was even discovered that the representative’s office targeted New York Post columnist Paul Sperry with what Taibbi described as “promoting false QAnon conspiracies.”

The journalist was targeted for suspension, even though he categorically denied the charge and accused Schiff of conducting a “scurrilous smear.”

The moment the GOP regained control of the House, it was etched in stone that there would be Democrats removed from committee assignments. And because of their previous actions that set the tone for the present, the party has no one to blame but themselves.
