The mainstream media have ignored a video by a resident that apparently shows an explosion in the sky over Billings, Montana.
Ok, so here’s what I just caught I few minutes ago out my window. I saw a jet go by so fast and then explosion in the sky. Holy crap! Billings MT. pic.twitter.com/swr8ERC6pf

The resident claims she saw what appeared to be a jet quickly going by, following the explosion.
Montana is the same place where the Chinese spy balloon was first spotted by the Department of Defense (DOD).
Although the video isn’t verified and there are no corresponding videos from other people, the timing of the story is quite odd.
Considering that a surveillance balloon was recently seen in the area, shouldn’t the alleged explosion merit some attention?
Yellowstone Co. Sheriff Mike Linder expressed that he felt the video of the explosion was “legitimate.” However, it is difficult to tell what is seen in the video.
According to KULR-8 News, Linder also stated that there is no evidence concerning an aircraft going down or that there was an explosion.
The sheriff also said that no one else has reported the incident.
He says the sheriff’s office will continue to investigate any additional leads or information.
Moreover, a resident of Bozeman, Montana, shared a video on Twitter that showed military helicopters flying around the area.

The helicopters, according to the uploader, “might have been part of a military funeral.”
Additionally, the City of Billings, Gov. Greg Gianforte (R-MT) and the Montana Department of Emergency Services confirmed that there was no explosion in the Billings area.
“We are aware of the video shared on Twitter and claims of a “massive explosion” over Billings. However, our PD, Fire & airport have NOT been called to any incidents related to this video and there haven’t been any plane crashes picked up on radar,” according to the city.
“We have confirmed with [Montana Disaster Emergency Services] and Gov. Greg Gianforte that there have not been any explosions in, around, or across Montana. They are aware of the video and it can not be substantiated,” the city added.

Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) shared that he is “concerned” over the lack of transparency regarding the Chinese spy balloon and the unexplained explosion in Billings.
I am genuinely concerned with the lack of transparency about the original Chinese Spy balloon and potential unexplained explosion above Billings. I have reached out to the Commanding Officer at Malmstrom Air Force base for details.

Neither the city of Billings, Gov. Gianforte, Sheriff Linder, the local media nor Rep. Rosendale have updated citizens since the video of the explosion was first published.
