Actor and director Mel Gibson confirmed his support for President Donald Trump during a TMZ interview. While expressing his preference for Trump, Gibson also took the opportunity to criticize Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, offering a blunt assessment of her capabilities.
When asked about his vote, Gibson hinted that his choice would not be a surprise. He went on to describe Harris’ record as “miserable” and “appalling,” stating she has “no policies to speak of.” When questioned further, Gibson did not hold back, saying Harris has “the IQ of a fence post.”
Gibson has shown his support for Trump before. In 2021, he saluted Trump during a UFC event in Las Vegas, drawing attention from both fans and the media. His endorsement is consistent with his history of conservative beliefs, which he has expressed throughout his career.
Gibson, known for his roles in “Mad Max” and “Braveheart,” has also made significant contributions as a director, winning an Academy Award for “Braveheart” and gaining recognition for “The Passion of The Christ.” Over the years, he has voiced his stance on conservative issues, particularly abortion. In a 1990 interview, he told Barbara Walters that only God should decide who comes into the world.
In a predominantly liberal Hollywood, Gibson’s continued support for conservative values stands out. His recent endorsement further cements his alignment with Trump as the election approaches.
