Americans have increasing concerns about gun violence and the Biden Administration has more ammo for its push for stricter firearm legislation after an attack that killed five people and injured 25 others on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Running on every news cycle for the past couple of days is the story of Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22, who opened fire just before midnight at a Colorado Springs LGBTQ+ nightclub, Club Q, on the eve of Transgender Day of Remembrance. The attacker was also arrested in 2021 for threatening his mother with bombs and other weapons but those charges weren’t pursued when they found no evidence of actual weapons.
The shooter in Colorado Springs was arrested a year ago for felony menacing and first degree kidnapping. The DA decided not to pursue charges. This is yet another case of a violent criminal set free to cause more harm. But the Left has no interest in taking about this problem.

Although no motive is known at this time, Americans are left wondering why this senseless and hateful crime against the LQBTQ+ community occurred. Also in question is why Aldrich didn’t receive proper investigation after his arrest last year, but that’s a whole other can of worms.
Just last week, another lesser-known act of criminality occurred except the sound of public outcries seems much more muffled.
Nicholas Gutierrez, a 22-year-old, was arrested for suspicion of attempted murder on a peace officer when he drove his vehicle through 25 police recruits in Los Angeles who were out for a run.
Witnesses on the scene and other recruits that were there all agreed the driver seemed to be accelerating as he plowed through the runners. ABC News is reporting that five of the recruits were critically hurt, four suffered moderate injuries and 16 have minor injuries.
California Gov. Gavin Newsome (D) issued a brief (and very generic) statement on Wednesday, Nov. 16. He did not make a live announcement of any kind.
Adding insult to the media’s reaction to the recruit tragedy was the release of the suspect shortly after the incident. The LA County Sheriff’s Department released a statement Friday saying the suspect was released “due to the extreme complexity of the investigation, which includes ongoing interviews, video surveillance review, and additional evidence needed to be analyzed”.

It leaves many conservatives wondering what would have happened if those police recruits would have been a different group. How loud would the outcry be if the driver would have plowed through 25 LGBTQ+ individuals? What would Newsom’s messaging and reaction be if the incident furthered one of his radical agendas?
