The romance between Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift has been one of the most followed relationships in America over the past few months, especially with the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl in February.
Recent reports have shown that, since the relationship began, Travis Kelce has spent more than $8 million in gifts, lavish getaways, private jet trips, and other gestures to his popstar girlfriend.
“Travis Kelce always comes to play — not just on the field, but in his everyday romance with Taylor Swift — sparing no expense,” pop culture lifestyle expert Valerie Greenberg told the New York Post. “He isn’t afraid to open his heart and his wallet.”
Some of the reported expenses include private jet excursions totaling more than $1 million, more than $22,000 in gifts, and a $1 million Super Bowl suite for Swift and his family to enjoy during the game.
The biggest expense, however, is the $6 million home Kelce purchased in Kansas City because he felt “self-conscious” about the 7-bedroom home that he purchased in 2019 for $995,000. His new residence is a 17,000-square-foot mansion in the Kansas City suburb of Leawood.
“Leawood is one of the top 50 wealthiest towns in the US. It’s an upscale, private neighborhood … You have a lot of privacy and security compared to where he was before,” said Corcoran real estate agent Amanda Baum.
Kelce, who is 34, will be playing in the third year of a four-year contract that he signed worth $57 million or roughly $14 million per year. He spent more than half of his annual salary on Swift just since they began dating.
On the other hand, the notoriety that Swift has brought to Kelce and the Chiefs organization cannot be downplayed. Kelce has gone from a name known only amongst NFL fans to a household name almost overnight and he can expect that notoriety to turn into financial gain as well.
The Kansas City Chiefs organization has also gotten a lift in popularity and net worth. It is reported that the team has gained more than $330 million in worth and a huge increase in female viewership since the two superstars started dating.

Reports are that, for the first time since they began dating, there is a pause in both of their careers. Swift is not touring and the NFL season is over so they are “nesting” in Swift’s $25 million Beverly Hills mansion.
