Trump Criticizes Farage For Bringing Up The 2020 Election

Former President Donald Trump criticized Brexit Leader Nigel Farage during their interview on GB News for bringing up the 2020 presidential and then accusing the former president of excessively talking about it.

While discussing Fox News’ defamation case with Dominion Voting Systems for nearly $800 million, Farage said, “Fox, which has been an incredibly important channel in the States, just paid out a large sum of money.”

“It’s incredible that they did that. If you think of what they did, they are a platform. That would mean anybody that goes onto a platform that says something wrong, you’re going to sue the platform? It’s ridiculous why they paid this money. The election was rigged, and Rupert Murdoch should have talked about it,” Trump said.

While Trump continued discussing the 2020 election, Farage argued that if Trump is going to win the 2024 presidential election, he must stop talking about the 2020 election and bring a “positive message” to voters.

“But Nigel, you brought it up. You brought this up to me. I didn’t bring it up. You mentioned something, and I said look, it was rigged,” Trump said.

“And I say that I’ll always say that. It doesn’t mean that out of a one-hour speech, I’m going to devote half of it to that. I might devote 10 seconds to it, but the election was rigged. It was a rigged election. It was a very dishonest election,” Trump added.

Farage sat down for the interview at Trump’s Turnberry golf resort in Scotland. Trump flew to the U.K. to inspect his golf courses where he was greeted with fireworks, bagpipes, a red carpet, and a 10-vehicle motorcade. He later visited his golf resort in Aberdeen and will soon travel to Doonbeg, Ireland, to inspect another one of his courses.

Before the interview, Farage said he and Trump are “close friends,” saying he first met Trump in 2014 and then became friends with him in 2016 when he joined his presidential campaign.

“The political elite underestimated him back then, so we’ll discuss how he plans to win back the White House,” Nigel added.
