Trump Launches Task Force To Investigate Anti-Christian Bias In Federal Agencies

President Donald Trump has taken action to stop the federal government from discriminating against Christians, signing an executive order that creates a task force led by Attorney General Pam Bondi. The move was announced during the National Prayer Breakfast, where Trump pledged to protect religious liberty.

The task force will investigate anti-Christian policies within the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the IRS, agencies that have been accused of unfairly targeting religious Americans in recent years. Trump specifically called out previous administrations for their treatment of Christians, including COVID-19 restrictions that closed churches while allowing other venues to stay open.

Speaking at the event, Trump stated that the goal is to “immediately halt all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government.” He emphasized that his administration will work to ensure Christians are protected in workplaces, schools, the military, and public spaces.

Alongside the task force, Trump announced the formation of a commission on religious liberty to develop additional protections for faith-based organizations. He also launched the White House Faith Office, which will work directly with religious groups to safeguard their rights.

First Liberty Institute’s Kelly Shackelford praised the decision, stating, “President Trump recognizes that religious liberty is foundational to all of our constitutional freedoms and plans to do all he can to protect our first freedom.” The initiative has been met with strong support from conservatives who have long pushed for action against anti-Christian bias.

The Trump administration’s latest move builds on its broader efforts to defend religious freedom, reverse previous policies that restricted Christian groups, and prevent federal agencies from being used against people of faith.
