Trump Makes Defiant Speech At Home Of President Biden

Taking the stage in Scranton, the city of the birthplace of President Joe Biden, former President Donald Trump called out the FBI and the Department of Justice for the raid on his Mar-a-Lago home.

Trump spoke to a packed Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Trump was there in support of the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Dr. Menmet Oz. Oz, a cardiothoracic surgeon and well-known television personality, narrowly won his recent GOP primary over longtime hedge fund chief executive David McCormick and rising conservative star Kathy Barnette.

Oz’s opponent in the senate race is Democrat and current Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman. Fetterman, who suffered a heart attack during the primary, resumed his campaign after an easy primary defeat. Oz spoke for a brief two minutes, while Trump remained standing behind the candidate.

The former president spoke for an unprecedented two hours. It was his first speech since the FBI raided his Florida estate. The appearance also was the first since President Joe Biden aggressively slammed MAGA Republicans in a speech given at Independence Hall on September 1, 2022, calling them “a threat to democracy” and “domestic terrorists.”

Trump pointed out the FBI “rifled through the First Lady’s closet and drawers and did a deep and ugly search of my 16-year-old son’s room.”

“The breaking in of my home at Mar-a-Lago was a travesty of justice that made a mockery of America’s laws, tradition and principles before the entire world,” he said. “They rifled through the first lady’s closet drawers and everything else, and even did a deep and ugly search of the room of my 16-year-old son,” Trump told the crowd which responded with loud “boos.”

While the Biden administration has denied any knowledge of the raid at the Trump estate, the former president noted that Biden has dementia. Trump also referred to the FBI and DOJ as “monsters.”
