President Donald Trump has issued an executive order revoking the security clearances of several high-profile former intelligence officials, including John Bolton, James Clapper, and John Brennan. The order, signed on Trump’s first day in office, underscores his commitment to removing Deep State actors who have worked against his administration and the interests of the American people.
The order specifically cites Bolton’s controversial 2019 memoir, which the administration claims revealed classified information that should have remained confidential. Trump’s directive argues that such actions jeopardized national security and undermined trust between the president and his advisors.
Trump’s supporters have hailed the move as a bold step in holding accountable those who have used their influence to push political agendas. Many believe the intelligence community has been weaponized to undermine Trump’s leadership, making these clearance revocations necessary for national security.
This is one of the best moves ever. I’m thrilled that Clapper and Bolton have had the security clearances revoked. They should have been revoked years ago. When someone no longer works in a position that requires clearance, their clearance should be revoked automatically. https://t.co/lf3NVOx0wx

In addition to Bolton, Clapper, and Brennan, the order also strips clearances from 50 former intelligence officials who played a role in discrediting the Hunter Biden laptop story. These officials publicly signed a letter suggesting the laptop was Russian disinformation, a claim later proven false.
Vindman, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, Weissman and Stroek was one of the most destructive people to ever hold office.
At least now like Bolton his TS+ security clearance will end – and any security Biden provided will also end.
Vindman is now rightly impotent.

Good morning, patriots. I know there is still much winning ahead, and today is going to be another long day, but pause for just a moment to bask in the glow and remember this: John Bolton, John Brennan, & James Clapper do not have security clearances any longer. What a great day! pic.twitter.com/BN2k9oEMam

Bolton responded to the order with frustration, confirming that his Secret Service protection had been withdrawn. He argued that the decision was politically motivated, though the Trump administration insists it was a matter of national security.

Trump’s latest actions align with his broader strategy to clean up government agencies and eliminate the influence of entrenched bureaucratic forces. Additional executive orders signed include directives to address regulatory burdens and enhance border security measures.
