At a recent rally in North Carolina, President Donald Trump launched a blistering critique of Vice President Kamala Harris, labeling her as a “radical, far-left extremist.” Speaking to a packed crowd, Trump declared, “She is a true threat to democracy. She’ll destroy our nation.”
Trump’s criticism of Harris comes as she prepares to officially become the Democratic nominee for president. After President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, Harris was positioned as the top candidate by party elites. Despite this, Trump was dismissive of her chances in the upcoming election, stating, “This November, the American people are going to tell her ‘No thanks, Kamala. You’ve done a terrible job. You’ve been terrible at everything you’ve done… Kamala, you’re fired!'”
The former president focused on Harris’s legislative record, claiming her voting history in the Senate was the most left-wing of any Democrat, making “Bernie [Sanders] look like a moderate.” He also accused Harris of lying to the public about President Biden’s cognitive health, saying, “If Kamala will lie to you so brazenly about Joe Biden’s mental incapacity, then she will lie to you about anything. She can never, ever be trusted.”
Trump didn’t stop there. He criticized Harris for skipping Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress, choosing instead to attend a sorority event. He accused her of being “totally against the Jewish people” and claimed that the Democratic Party is treating Jewish people poorly amid the Israel-Hamas conflict. “Even if you’re against Israel or you’re against the Jewish people, show up and listen to the concept,” Trump argued.
Concluding his fiery speech, Trump asserted, “She is a very bad person and she shouldn’t be running for president. She is a true threat to democracy. She’ll destroy our nation.”
