In the face of China’s aggressive military buildup, President-elect Donald Trump is preparing to enact sweeping reforms to the U.S. military to ensure it remains capable of meeting the growing threat from Beijing. With China’s expanding missile capabilities, the growth of its navy, and the use of psychological warfare tactics, the U.S. must modernize its defense systems to maintain peace and security worldwide.
A pleasure to highlight China’s actual military spending and its outsized investments in combat power—dwarfing those of its Indo-Pacific neighbors. https://t.co/mqWpvWGvze pic.twitter.com/rLAjq3UUD8

China’s military expansion is one of the most significant global security challenges of the modern era. The People’s Liberation Army has rapidly expanded its arsenal of ICBMs, long-range cruise missiles, and hypersonic weapons, while also building the largest navy in the world. At the same time, China has been leveraging cognitive warfare tactics, including disinformation campaigns and psychological operations, to weaken the resolve of U.S. allies and adversaries alike.

In response to these threats, President-elect Trump is committed to rebuilding the U.S. military by investing in the modernization of weapons systems, upgrading nuclear deterrence capabilities, and enhancing missile defense. These efforts are designed to ensure that the U.S. remains the world’s dominant military power and is prepared to counter any challenges posed by China.
Of course, China is ready for war.
Since 2018, China has sensed the danger of WW3 and been preparing for it. I have a classmate who works in a military enterprise. Since 2018, he has rarely attended parties because he always needs to work overtime on weekends. You think NATO and… pic.twitter.com/elVSoExcBI

Trump’s plan also includes a focus on fiscal responsibility within the Pentagon. By streamlining the defense budget and eliminating wasteful spending, Trump aims to direct more resources toward critical military needs, such as expanding the Navy and improving missile defense infrastructure. This will ensure that the U.S. military remains ready to face any emerging threats while maintaining fiscal discipline.

The U.S. must also invest in new technologies to stay ahead of China’s rapidly advancing military capabilities. This includes enhancing missile defense systems, modernizing the nuclear arsenal, and expanding the U.S. Navy to ensure that the U.S. can effectively defend its interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
