Zelenskyy Asks For More US Aid While Attacking Trump’s Peace Plan

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose war against Russia is failing despite billions in American aid, has raised eyebrows by insulting President Donald Trump during his U.S. visit to beg for more financial support. Zelenskyy, whose government has suspended elections, criticized Trump’s promise to bring peace to the Russia-Ukraine war, claiming Trump doesn’t understand how to end the conflict.

During an interview with The New Yorker, Zelenskyy dismissed Trump’s peace strategy, even though Trump has pledged to stop the war without Ukraine sacrificing its sovereignty. Meanwhile, Zelenskyy continued to request more money from American taxpayers, all while attacking a major U.S. presidential candidate.

What makes this situation even more shocking is Zelenskyy’s hypocrisy: he has suspended democracy in his own country while coming to the U.S., which funds his war, to interfere in an American election by attacking a likely future U.S. leader. Trump Jr. blasted Zelenskyy for his “disgraceful” behavior, especially in light of a recent assassination attempt on his father by a pro-Ukraine fanatic.

Zelenskyy’s refusal to seek peace and his continued push for more U.S. taxpayer dollars is exposing the deep flaws in his leadership, which has led Ukraine into an unwinnable war while risking further escalation with a nuclear-armed Russia.
