Border Patrol Agent Beaten By Illegal Alien

Former Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX) revealed in a post on Instagram that a Border Patrol agent had been brutally attacked by an illegal alien cartel informer — sharing images of the injured agent covered in blood.

Flores, who is married to a Border Patrol agent, shared the gruesome photos on her Instagram page — explaining that the agent had been beaten by a man who had the Spanish word for “rat” tattooed on his forehead by the cartels.

“This is the type of violence that is being exerted on Border Patrol Agents by those who don’t want to be apprehended,” the former Texas congresswoman wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.

“The suspect was encountered by Border Patrol near McAllen, Texas,” Flores added. “The suspect was labeled a rat by the cartels and fought against the agent until the backup arrived. Please pray for our men and women in uniform.”

The photos were later shared by Fox News correspondent Griff Jenkins in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, where they quickly went viral. Jenkins noted in his post that it took three Border Patrol agents to take down the suspect.

One photo shows the Border Patrol agent with blood dripping down his face and patches of blood staining his uniform, radio, and other equipment. Another image appears to show the agent suffering from a puncture wound on his upper arm. The third photo shows the alleged cartel informer covered in blood as well, with the word “RATA” tattooed on his forehead.

This news comes as the southern border crisis continues to ramp up, with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data showing that there were nearly 233,000 illegal alien encounters at the southern border in August — which is the highest number for the month of August on record. This was also a significant jump from July, when CBP reported just under 184,000 encounters.

Data from this month shows that there have already been tens of thousands more illegal alien encounters than in September 2022, and the month is not even over yet.

Meanwhile, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to respond to questions about another record broken by the Biden administration — 10,000 illegal aliens crossing into the U.S. in a single day earlier this month.

Instead, she tried to deflect by attacking Republicans — though she was interrupted by Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy, prompting her to shut him down completely and move on to call on another reporter.
