Kennedy Raises Alarms Over Biden’s Leadership Post-Debate

Following President Joe Biden’s debate performance, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has voiced significant concerns about Biden’s leadership and the state of U.S. governance. During an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Kennedy implied that Biden might not be the primary decision-maker in his administration. “He does not seem to be the person who’s making the decisions in the White House,” Kennedy commented. “I think our government is being run by anonymous men in lanyards, and it’s scary.”

Kennedy held his own event on social media, as he did not qualify for CNN’s debate stage. He tackled the same questions posed during the debate, criticizing the event for its lack of substance. “This whole spectacle was a sad story for democracy,” Kennedy told host Lawrence Jones. He pointed out that the debate ignored critical issues like housing and economic challenges facing Americans.

Kennedy underscored the dire situation of the American middle class, particularly regarding homeownership. “This is the first generation in American history who’s going to be worse off than their parents,” he noted. Discussing his own family’s experiences, Kennedy added, “My kids are very, very privileged compared to other children in this country. This is a crisis. The American middle class is the greatest economic engine in the history of mankind… it works because we had them in our homes.”

He highlighted the shift from a society of homeowners to renters, stressing the economic consequences. “We’re going from a society of owners to a society of renters, and this is a crisis for our country and neither of these candidates talked about how they are going to deal with inflation,” Kennedy stated.

Kennedy was also critical of Biden’s capacity to lead. When asked if Biden is fit to be president, Kennedy responded, “I don’t think so.” He cited concerns about Biden’s decisions pushing the nation towards nuclear conflict with Russia and China, now allied with Iran. “We’re closer to nuclear conflict today with the Russians and China… which has never happened before. That’s almost exclusively because of policies of the Biden administration,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy took to social media to further criticize the debate, calling it a “fourth-grade level” discussion and urging for a “reset” in the nation’s approach to governance.
