Chinese Nationals Pouring Across Open Southern Border

As an estimated quarter of a million illegal migrants invaded the U.S. in December, a surprising number hail from Communist China. A record total, of 4,767, originated in the People’s Republic and crossed the Mexican border largely unvetted.

The New York Times reported last month that over 24,000 Chinese nationals entered the country illegally in the past year.

According to journalist Eileen Sullivan, many fly into Ecuador due to the lack of requirements for a passport. There they pay smugglers to sneak them into the U.S. where they immediately turn themselves over to Border Patrol.

Under the Biden administration’s nonexistent border security, they claim asylum knowing they will be permitted to stay.

It’s a simple process that now sees tens of thousands of Chinese nationals flooding the nation. Gone are the days of Mexican families migrating to the American Southwest looking for a better life.

Now it’s military-aged males from every far-flung corner of the globe, including Communist China.

The threat to national security is obvious for anyone who cares to see, but not for the White House and liberal Democrats.

Not everyone in Washington is blind to the threat. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) said in June that some of the migrants are linked to the Chinese Communist Party and China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

He explained that “in terms of verification that the individuals released into the United States have ties to the PLA came from a sector chief, and I’ll leave it with that at this point.”

The fiscal year 2023 tally reached 24,000. By comparison, there were 1,970 in fiscal year 2022 and 323 in fiscal year 2021, according to Customs and Border Patrol figures.

China expert Gordon Chang relayed a stark warning to the Daily Caller News Foundation about the wave.

He noted that when he first observed the dramatic upswing in migrants from the People’s Republic, he was struck by one thought. “These are either Ministry of State Security agents or Chinese military, who are coming to this country to commit acts of sabotage against the U.S.”
