Another illegal immigrant has made headlines in New York City—this time, for assaulting a man Tuesday with a rock while attempting to rob him.
NYPD officers arrested Jason Sanchez, a 26-year-old Guatemalan citizen, after responding to a robbery-in-progress call around 2:35 p.m. in Greenpoint.
Sanchez allegedly hit the 50-year-old victim in the head with a rock while attempting to grab his wallet. The victim was left with cuts to his face but refused medical attention at the scene.
According to the NYPD, Sanchez was arrested without incident and was charged with attempted robbery, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Sanchez’s last known address was a homeless shelter located near the crime scene.
A few weeks ago, Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams demanded that changes be made to the city’s sanctuary laws so that criminals will face deportation.
“I believe New Yorkers should be safe and the migrants and asylum seekers that are doing the right thing should not be caught up with those who are not doing the right thing,” he said.

While Democrats continue to deny that illegal immigrants are committing a crime wave across the country, more Americans are being victimized. New York City nurse Chelsea Mora told Fox News that she was assaulted by an illegal immigrant in January who has been arrested at least 23 times and had a history of assault but was not deported.
“It seems to be a severe problem in New York City now,” said Mora. “I think these soft-on-crime laws that are being implemented aren’t helping us, like citizens of New York, [and] aren’t helping healthcare staff in dealing with these types of criminals.”
Liberals back up their theory with a recent study conducted that suggests that illegal immigrants are 60% less likely to commit crimes. However, they do not mention that the study was based mainly on incarceration rates. The study also only focuses on the year 2020 and prior.
No one can deny that there has been an increase in crime after President Joe Biden has allowed anyone and everyone to cross into the country.
As long as progressives continue to turn their back on the facts, Americans, particularly those living in sanctuary cities, are not safe. More illegal immigrants will be making news for committing violent crimes against Americans.
