Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), who is challenging President Joe Biden in the Democratic presidential primary, shared a brutally honest message about Biden’s cognitive decline and complete incoherence during public events.
Over the past three years, Biden has displayed clear signs of cognitive decline and serious issues with coherence, and the problems have only gotten worse as time goes on. Just in the past few days, the president has had several major gaffes — including claiming that he spoke with French President Fracois Mitterrand at the G7 Summit in 2021, despite the fact that Mitterrand died in 1996.

Biden also struggled to give a simple press conference about the ongoing Israel-Hamas war earlier this week, stuttering and stammering so badly that a reporter was forced to finish his sentence for him. The president also called the Hamas terrorist group “the opposition” during the press conference, where he was trying to explain to the American people that Hamas had not given an answer about a potential deal with Israel.
BIDEN: "There is some movement, and I don’t wanna, I don't wanna, let me be choose my words — there's some movement. There's been a response from the, uh, there's been a response from the opposition, but um…"

Phillips responded to these two incidents and the myriad of previous examples of Biden’s incoherence in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“I’m attacked for being honest and saying the quiet part out loud – the part DC insiders only do in private. I admire our President. I voted for him and campaigned for him. He has visited my home and been gracious to my family and our country. But shame on all of you pretending everything is ok. You are leading us – and him – into a disaster, and you damn well know it,” he wrote.

Phillips’ post had more than 5.3 million views as of Wednesday evening, with many comments agreeing with his analysis of Biden’s behavior.
Conservatives and independents who responded to the post questioned why the Democrat lawmaker would “admire” Biden, while at the same time agreeing with him that Biden’s behavior is concerning.
“It’s sad to watch and scary at the same time. I’m not a Biden supporter based on his policies and time in office, but what is happening is terrifying and, frankly, elder abuse,” one user wrote.

Meanwhile, some left-leaning individuals appeared to agree with him — but others viciously attacked Phillips, claiming that his candidacy will help Republicans “destroy democracy” while desperately trying to downplay Biden’s senility.
“Shame on you, Silver Spoon boy. And shame on Steve Schmidt for handling your dumpster fire of a campaign. You may well be the final cog in the wheel for Republicans to destroy democracy. Just…shame,” one user claimed.

“Shame on you for attacking the way Biden speaks, most especially when he’s exercising great caution in the words he uses when speaking about Hamas. Everyone is laughing at you. You’ve become a pathetic joke,” another user claimed, including the hashtag #DropOutDean.
