Biden Takes Shots At Trump’s Age And Legal Troubles At White House Correspondents’ Dinner

President Joe Biden used his speech at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday to take jabs at his likely 2024 rival former President Donald Trump focusing on his age and ongoing legal troubles.

Biden attempted to turn Trump’s “Sleepy Joe” nickname back on the former president referring to him as “Sleepy Don.” The president also made light of concerns from voters about his own advanced age and cognitive decline.

“The 2024 election is in full swing and yes age is an issue. I’m a grown man running against a 6-year-old. Well I feel great. I really feel great,” Biden said.

The president also made comments about the various political persecutions against Trump many of which have been alleged to be attempted election interference by the Biden administration to prevent a potential rematch in 2024.

Biden used the event to push the left’s attacks on Trump calling him a threat to democracy and warning about “disinformation.” However, almost immediately after his “disinformation” quip the president proceeded to take Trump’s previous statements out of context to smear him.

“The defeated former President has made no secret of his attack on our democracy he said he wants to be a dictator on day one and so much more. He tells supporters he is the revenge and retribution. When in God’s name ever heard of another president say something like that? And he promised a bloodbath when he loses again,” Biden claimed.

Former President Trump took to Truth Social to criticize the event, asserting that the dinner’s headliner Colin Jost “BOMBED” and that Biden was an “absolute disaster.”
