Jim Jordan Unveils Biden’s Role In Facebook Censorship

A thunderbolt revelation from Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) has created ripples across the nation, as he took the initiative to unveil the extent of the Biden administration’s interference with social media giants, notably Facebook.

Recently, Jordan has been laser-focused on the tech industry. His latest endeavor is “The Facebook Files,” a series of disclosures spotlighting Facebook’s dubious history of censoring Americans. These internal documents, subpoenaed by the House Judiciary Committee that Jordan chairs, paint an alarming picture of Big Tech’s willingness to suppress free speech under pressure from political figures.

Jordan’s relentless investigation takes cues from the infamous “Twitter Files” initiated by Elon Musk. Much like Musk’s endeavors, Jordan’s efforts have stirred up a hornet’s nest, prompting a concerned response from the tech mogul, who described the situation as “extremely concerning.”

At the heart of Jordan’s findings are claims that Facebook altered its content moderation policies and actively censored posts due to pressure from the Biden White House, particularly during the first half of 2021. Jordan alleges that the administration sought to suppress alleged “misinformation,” impeding free discourse on matters of crucial public importance.

Several eyebrow-raising incidents reveal the extent of the White House’s influence. In one example, Facebook’s President for Global Affairs, Nick Clegg, reportedly told his team that Andy Slavitt, a Senior Advisor to President Biden, was irked by Facebook’s failure to remove a particular post. Despite warnings about infringing free speech boundaries, Slavitt seemingly ignored such concerns.

The ensuing panic within Facebook’s ranks resulted in what Jordan describes as “egregious censorship.” With the administration’s displeasure looming over them, Facebook couldn’t capitulate quickly enough, resulting in an alteration of content moderation rules to appease the Biden administration and the Surgeon General.

These startling revelations suggest a discomforting truth: free discourse in the U.S. is increasingly under siege. Jordan’s allegations, substantiated by the subpoenaed internal documents, indicate misuse of power by the Biden administration to manipulate social media giants into censoring American voices.

But it didn’t stop there. The Biden administration’s alleged displeasure with Facebook extended beyond a single post. In July 2021, Biden publicly chastised Facebook and accused the platform of harming public health by failing to clamp down on misinformation. As a result, Facebook conceded to the pressure, altering its policies in response to the White House’s demands.

Jordan warns that contempt proceedings against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg remain a real possibility should Facebook fail to cooperate fully with the Judiciary Committee’s investigation moving forward.
