Leftists Outraged After White Woman Wins ‘Miss Universe Zimbabwe’

Leftists on social media are attacking the winner of the Miss Universe Zimbabwe pageant over her race — with some even claiming that a White woman shouldn’t “even been allowed to be in” the contest.

According to Essence, 21-year-old Brooke Bruk-Jackson’s win has triggered “mixed reactions online because she is a white woman representing the African nation.”

Bruk-Jackson is a model and a Zimbabwe native, but that was not enough for many leftists on social media — who claimed that her victory was “a slap in the face for all black women.”

However, their reactions have prompted calls of hypocrisy, as the left has consistently maintained that minorities should be elevated — and only 2% of the population of Zimbabwe are non-Black.

In a post on her Instagram, Bruk-Jackson expressed gratitude for her win and touted the “uniqueness of Zimbabwe.”

“I have gained this crown for our beautiful country, to love and to serve our people, to represent Zimbabwe Internationally, and to show the world the uniqueness of Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans. I want to be an example of grace, understanding, and inspiration to the youth of Zimbabwe, to instill the spirit of ‘ubuntu’ and know that together we are strong and anything in life is possible,” she wrote.

Despite Bruk-Jackson’s efforts to celebrate her country, leftists took to social media to attack her — with many making blatantly racist comments about the model.

“She should not have [won] or even been allowed to be in it….disgusted and can not represent a black country!” one Facebook user wrote.

“I think my only thing is Miss ‘Universe’ Zimbabwe should be ‘universally’ representative of the population, and it’s a bit of a shame that she isn’t,” one user wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Meanwhile, conservatives quickly brought up past news articles showing the hypocrisy of these statements — including a 2021 article celebrating the first Black woman to win “Miss Ireland.”

“This is a classic example of the left’s hypocrisy. They claim to promote equality, Inclusivity & empowerment of minority persons. Yet, a white woman being crowned Miss Zimbabwe is somehow an ‘injustice’ without mentioning that ‘whites’ are a minority in Zimbabwe,” the official X account for breaking news outlet ‘The Bulletin’ commented.

“So, by their standards, they should be celebrating this, instead they are outraged. Then you realize they aren’t fighting for equality – but for the reverse engineering of all the injustices of past,” the post continued.
