Vivek Ramaswamy Blasts Democrats Censoring Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy recently put Democrats on blast for attempting to censor Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Ramaswamy criticized Democrats for voting to censor Kennedy over his alleged antisemitic comments, which he ultimately denied.

While testifying before the House subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Kennedy denied allegations that he was racist by explaining his family’s legacy in decrying racism and antisemitism.

“In my entire life, I have never uttered a phrase that was either racist or antisemitic,” Kennedy said during the hearing.

Kennedy claimed that individuals calling his statements racist are trying to censor him “through smears, misinterpretation of what I said, through lies.”

Kennedy was recorded at an event alleging that the COVID-19 vaccine was manufactured specifically to save Jews and Chinese people while harming other ethnic groups, according to the New York Post.

“COVID-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and Black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese,” Kennedy is recorded as having said, adding, “We don’t know whether it was deliberately targeted or not, but there are papers out there that show the racial or ethnic differential and impact.”

Ramaswamy praised Kennedy for his “willingness to speak truths” that Democrats do not accept.

“They prefer compliant puppets of the managerial class like Joe Biden, like John Fetterman, as you noted, to somebody that’s actually going to challenge their orthodoxy,” Ramaswamy said on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

Ramaswamy said that Democrats have lost their way regarding free speech, adding that he recently spoke with Kennedy to lift his spirits and encourage him to continue speaking his mind and ignore any outside threats.

“I respect his willingness to speak hard truths. That’s what I’m doing in the Republican primary as well, and I think our country is going to be at its best when both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party are the best versions of themselves,” Ramaswamy said.

Ramaswamy argued that school lockdowns would never have been a reality during the COVID-19 pandemic if free speech had been allowed in society. He claimed that the lab leak theory for COVID-19 would not have been censored if the U.S. truly had free speech.

The GOP presidential candidate added that Democrats use censorship as a tool to increase their power and that they will use such a tool in the next “emergency circumstance.”
