Dean Phillips Claims Biden Would Get ‘Creamed’ In 2024

Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), who is challenging President Joe Biden for the presidency in 2024, recently claimed the president would get “creamed” in the forthcoming presidential election, adding that his fellow Democrats have been “deluded” into thinking otherwise.

During an interview with CNN host Jake Tapper, the Minnesota congressman said he, unlike Biden, would institute a plan called “American Dream Accounts,” which would provide children born in the U.S. with $1,000 in their bank account so that as the funds grow throughout the years, they may use it for higher education.

Phillips added that he would turn his focus on healthcare for all, childcare, better education, and the southern border, among other topics.

“People are really fearful,” the Minnesota lawmaker said. “Last night I saw a Trump rally outside of mine, I walked up to the line of people a mile long and I simply said hello. I was met with 50 people going to the Trump rally who were friendly, hospitable, thoughtful, some who said they voted for Barack Obama.”

“Some said they were Bernie Sanders supporters. About half of whom had never been to a Trump event before. So for everybody watching right now, Donald Trump is on a big mission to win and Joe Biden is going to get creamed,” he added.

“And I just wish Democrats would wake up and ensure that at least we give it our best shot because right now I’m afraid we are deluded into a nightmare,” Phillips added.

Phillips continued by expressing confidence that he’d “already won” the New Hampshire primary despite the race having not occurred. The Minnesota Democrat denounced the president as a “weak candidate who’s not electable.”

“And in that respect, I think we’ve already won,” he claimed.

Biden won’t participate in the New Hampshire primary because the Democratic National Committee (DNC) designated South Carolina first on its primary calendar.

Phillips has urged voters in the Granite State not to engage in a write-in campaign for Biden.

He recently launched a website titled “Not in New Hampshire,” encouraging New Hampshire voters not to write the president’s name on the ballot in the upcoming primary on Jan. 23, 2024.
