Billionaire Twitter CEO Elon Musk declared that former President Donald Trump will run away with the 2024 presidential election if he is arrested this week.
Trump said Saturday that he believes he will be arrested as soon as Tuesday over allegations of “hush payments” in the Stormy Daniels case in New York.
The former president has denied several times that any crimes were committed and asserted that the Manhattan district attorney’s crusade against him is nothing more than “debunked fairytales.”
It is no secret that radical DA Alvin Bragg looks to build his brand on a career-defining arrest of the former president. However, it is just another in an incredibly long string of Democratic power plays to try to enact revenge on Trump for his 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton.
And Musk may well be correct.

The entrepreneur responded to a Fox News clip that asserted that Trump will be arrested and handcuffed this week. This is a Democratic dream that could come to fruition in the coming days, but Musk believes it will strongly backfire.
He tweeted, “If this happens, Trump will be re-elected in a landslide victory.” And Musk was hardly the only prominent voice to make this observation.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) declared that Republicans do not need to protest the former president’s arrest if it comes to pass. Instead, the conservative firebrand tweeted that the “communist Democrats” have secured their doom.
Greene wrote, “This is what they do in communist countries to destroy their political opponents!” She added, “Republicans in Congress MUST subpoena these communists and END this! We have the power to do it, and we also have the power to DEFUND their salaries and departments!”
After Trump issued the call Saturday for people to “protest” and “take our nation back,” Greene appeared to respond. She said Republicans do not need to rise up against the Democrats’ “political weaponization.”
Instead, “these idiots are sealing their own fate in 2024” because the American majority has two emotions concerning the left — “fear and anger.”
It will be noteworthy to see how far the radical leftists go in their pursuit of retribution against former President Trump. As for blowback, both Musk and Greene correctly tapped into the popular sentiment that Democrats are only out for vengeance and do not represent the American people.
